Original Squares with Marshmallow Fluff
The classic Rice Krispies® squares recipe, using marshmallow fluff.

Ingredients
- 50 ml or ¼ cup butter or margarine
- 215 g (1 container) Marshmallow fluff
- 2 ml or 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1.25 L or 5 cups Rice Krispies® cereal
Directions
- Grease a 9 x 9 baking pan and line with parchment paper for easy removal. Set aside.
- Heat a large saucepan over medium-low heat. Add the butter or margarine. Once melted add the marshmallow fluff and stir until melted and smooth.
- Add the vanilla extract and stir to combine. Add the Rice KrispiesⓇ cereal and mix thoroughly until well coated.
- Empty the saucepan into the prepared baking dish and press the mixture firmly into the pan firmly with a lightly greased spatula. Allow the pan to cool and harden for at least 30 minutes before slicing into squares.

Tips
Mess and Clean-Up
- You can line your baking pan with parchment paper or waxed paper to cut down on mess.
- Grease your spatula or spoon before combining the melted ingredients with the Rice Kripies® cereal.
- When pressing down the treats, to avoid sticky fingers. Try wetting your hands, using the butter stick wrapper or waxed paper.
Recipe Hacks
- The (optional) vanilla extract enances the taste of the treats.
- Use a smaller pan to make thicker treats.
- Add candies or frosting for easy decorations.
